Deva Fortress Hill
Nature preserve geological, botanical, landscape. Located 371 m above the sea and 184 m from the city. Hill emerges from the Poiana RuscÄ Mountains and has a conical shape being composed of eruptive rocks. The slopes are covered by a rich vegetation which comprises of almost half of the plants known in Transylvania. Many of the plants are indigenous, others come from the Mediterranean Sea or the southern Balkan peninsula. Here lives and horned viper. Reserve has an area of 30 ha.
