Karaka Point gives expansive view up and down the Queen Charlotte Sound both from the carpark and the lookout. A 10 minute walk begins at the carpark and passes the site of a Maori pa village before a lookout and pebbly beach. 7 km and 15 minutes from town. Take the Port Underwood Road through Waikawa Bay.
